AdBrite: The Internet’s Ad Marketplace

Posted in Publisher networks, Ad alternatives, Reviews by admin on the May 30th, 2007

Payment Amount

Adbrite’s payment scheme works in a somewhat different manner to Adsense. AdBrite allows advertisers to choose which site they would like their ads placed on. This allows for a competitive market place to set the worth of ads on your site. This is great if you have a large site, delivering content to thousands of viewers a day – meaning that in the marketplace, hundreds of advertisers will be bidding high to get their ads on your site. However, if you run a small, low traffic website, advertisers will be less interested in your site in general – meaning less bids, and lower cost-per-click ads. They also offer network ads, this is similar to Google’s Adsense network, however the cost-per-click for these ads is very low. I would recommend AdBrite to any publisher with a large user driven site.

Payment Methods

AdBrite pay via check, with the minimum payout being $5. They use the term net-60 payout to describe how often you will get paid. Basically this means that your earnings must sit there for two months before they will send a check your way. So if you’re looking to see your hard work turn into cold hard cash quickly, I’d suggest another publisher program. (more…)

Chitika: Contextual Advertising

Posted in Publisher networks, Ad alternatives, Reviews by admin on the May 30th, 2007

Payment Amount

Chitika offer one of the highest paying cost-per-click of all ad serving programs (very similar payment amounts to Adsense and YPN).

Payment Methods

Payment is made by either; Paypal – once earnings have reached $10, and Check – once earnings reach $50. Chitika has an alternate way of processing revenue, it leaves all clicks and reports earnings through the month as unaudited, and at the end of the month they are audited (multiple clicks from the same IP address are discounted etc…). This usually means that at the end of the month, a lot of your accrued revenue will be discounted. Despite this, Chitika is still a very good alternative ad serving program.

Statistics Given

Chitika give in depth statistics regarding average cost per click, impressions per day, clicks per day and what keywords had earned the largest revenue. (more…)
